During labor, Enzo, a boy from the UK, suffered trauma. The trauma resulted in a condition known as Cerebral Palsy, leading to a significant impact on Enzo’s physical capabilities. In 2016, at the age of three, Enzo’s parents flew him over to Bangkok, after reading about a Stem Cell treatment that could hold hope for their boy.
Cerebral Palsy is actually a term that refers to multiple disorders that affect coordination, as well as muscle movement. Other physical capabilities, such as hearing, sensation, and vision, may also be adversely affected. In childhood, Cerebral Palsy is considered the most common condition to cause a disability of motor skills.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that for every 1,000 live births, between 1.5 and four may be affected by Cerebral Palsy.
At the age of three, Cerebral Palsy had caused Enzo to be unable to walk or stand. He could not lift his head for a long time at once. Even sitting became a problem for this boy. Enzo’s parents discovered stem cell treatment, offered by a facility in Bangkok, and soon after decided to give this therapy a try.

Improved control of his arms and hands were the first results that his parents noted. After three and a half weeks following the initial treatment, Enzo was able to start swallowing a little. While he was not yet able to eat at the time, the swallowing that became possible reduced dribbling.

In addition to stem cell therapy, additional treatments were also administered to Enzo at the facility in Bangkok. The idea behind these treatments was to effectively guide the stem cells that were injected into Enzo’s body.

Following interviews with media publications, the parents did note that they are planning on returning again in the future, each time with new goals in mind.
After being diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, Enzo experience a number of complications due to the condition. Following a trip to Bangkok, Enzo received stem cell treatment, along with additional therapies, which yielded hope for both the boy and his parents. The family returned again two years after the initial treatment and is planning on obtaining further treatment for Enzo in the hope that more improvement in his motor skills may be observed.
